Moose Davis
Moose Davis, a native of Arkansas, currently resides in New York working as a Software Engineer for Citigroup, Inc. designing and building department-wide solutions. Besides his technical contributions to the world of financial technology, he also has a background of being an avid performer and educator within the classical, contemporary, and pageantry worlds. His performances within these genres have taken him across the United States as well as Europe.
Davis’ past involvement as a performer within the pageantry arts include Spirit of Atlanta (2010), Phantom Regiment (2011-2012), and The Blue Devils (2013-2014). His marching art educational affiliations include Broken Arrow High School, Owasso High School, Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, United Percussion and Arts, Inc., George Mason University Indoor Drumline, and STRYKE Percussion.
The relationship with STRYKE Percussion has been an ongoing involvement since 2013. While not involved in the marching arts, he is competing in both Volleyball & Soccer, eating as much culturally diverse foods as possible, and enjoying inspiration from the wide range of the arts offered throughout the boroughs of New York City.
Davis has studied with world-renowned professors Gwendolyn Dease, Dr. Jon Weber, Ji-Hye Jung, Sō Percussion, W. Lee Vinson, Jerry Noble, Pedro Carneiro, and Dr. Blake Tyson. He holds a full-stack software engineering certification from The Flatiron School, master’s degree from Michigan State University, a graduate performance certificate and bachelor’s degree from University of Central Arkansas.
