Benevolent Resonance by Robert Clayson
Benevolent Resonance by Robert Clayson
Benevolent Resonance was commissioned by Allison Mattle and Jess Fasano in 2023 as a Christmas present for their dear friend Aarin Arora. The piece is about how friendships help lift people up in trying times, and how life with friends is much more fulfilling with friends than without them. As such, this piece can either be played as a pure 4.3 octave marimba solo, or can have a group of two percussionists providing an accompaniment. Written for beginner to intermediate level performers, this is a perfect piece for a young marimbist looking to branch into concerto repertoire or for an ensemble director looking to train accompanist players for a larger work.
