Fragmented Shards of Crystallized Water by JaRon Brown is an amalgam of dueting Flute and Soprano Saxophone accompanied by a full percussion ensemble. This piece is an illustration of the process of frost sticking to blades of grass in the earliest parts of the morning before the sun rises above the horizon. It is an exhilaratingly brisk musical tale of the sheer bruteness of mother nature's relentless frostbite.
