Giant Woman by JaRon Brown

Giant Woman, is a depiction of the prowess and strength of womanhood; the innate resilience to always exude the absolute power of femininity in its most highest form possible. This piece was inspired by Rebecca Sugar's Cartoon Network show "Steven Universe" and it illustrates the artform and sacred dance of gem fusion. These gem sprites collide beautifully to form even bigger and more powerful feminine beings in which save and rescue the plight of the main character Steven's series of unfortunate events. I was deeply inspired by the messages exhibited in this series in regards to empowerment, rawness, modernity, appreciation, inclusiveness, and most of all representation; thus I was moved to create something that could live in that realm. I love this show so much, and am so grateful to be alive to witness such storytelling rooted in honesty and acceptance of everyone. Giant Woman is a quirky tale of self discovery and acceptance of falling in love with your inner strength and conquering the forces that bind.
