I have always loved the horror genre. The sinking feeling in your stomach and the constant looking over your shoulder are something that I have always found exciting. Growing up, I found that creepypastas such as “Jeff the Killer”, “Slenderman”, and “The Russian Sleep Experiment” would be so vivid while also leaving so much up to the imagination. I often describe it as Minimalist Horror. I have found that the things your brain can conjure up are far worse than any one story could tell. My love for the genre became cemented whenever Analogue Horror started to make its voice known on the Internet. Series such as “Local 58” and “The Mandella Catalogue” were huge inspirations to me as a storyteller. This snare drum solo is a love letter to the genre and those who have paved the way so far.
